The festival is a traditional prayer for a bountiful harvest of grains like rice, wheat, and beans.Key Feature: Participants balance massive bamboo poles (Kanto) decorated with many paper lanterns. These poles can reach 12 meters in height, weigh up to 50 kilograms, and hold up to 46 lanterns.
