In Georgian jewellery (1714–1837), the acorn motif carries a deep layers of meaning rooted in nature, national pride, and human emotion. While the later Victorian era is famous for its hyper-specific botanical dictionaries, the Georgians preferred using emblems that represented broader, classical virtues. It represents strength, endurance and longevity, British patriotism and independence, eternal life.
