A once-in-a-lifetime set: nine original theatrical posters for BEHIND THE CANDELABRA — Steven Soderbergh's Emmy-winning Liberace biopic starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon — each from a different country, each carrying "A Jerry Weintraub Production" credit in that market's own language. Sourced directly from the Estate of Jerry Weintraub, the legendary Hollywood producer and dealmaker behind the Ocean's Eleven trilogy, The Karate Kid, Nashville, Diner, and decades of film and concert production. Behind the Candelabra was one of Weintraub's final major film projects.
The film's title changed with every border it crossed — this set captures that global journey in the original theatrical paper for each market:
1. JAPAN — 恋するリベラーチェ (rare rainbow-holographic finish), approx. 40" x 27"
2. SOUTH AFRICA — Behind the Candelabra, Ster-Kinekor Pictures release, approx. 25" x 41"
3. CZECH REPUBLIC — Liberace!, approx. 26" x 40"
4. SOUTH KOREA — 쇼를 사랑한 남자 ("The Man Who Loved the Show"), approx. 26" x 40"
5. FRANCE — Ma Vie avec Liberace, Official Cannes Competition Selection, approx. 30" x 40"
6. DENMARK — Mit Liv med Liberace, approx. 26" x 40"
7. HUNGARY — Túl a Csillogáson ("Beyond the Glitter"), approx. 28" x 40"
8. PORTUGAL — Por Detrás do Candelabro, approx. 25" x 39"
9. UNITED KINGDOM — Behind the Candelabra, British Quad (landscape format), approx. 30" x 40"
Several of these are genuinely scarce theatrical releases — Czech Republic (27 theaters), South Africa (19 theaters), and South Korea (under 15,000 total admissions) were all limited runs, while France, Italy, and the UK saw wide releases with major critical attention (Cannes Official Selection, five-star UK reviews). No two posters in this set share the same design, language, or dimensions — each is a distinct piece of that market's promotional history for the film.
