LPs are Cleaned and Visually Graded (See Grading Explanations Below)
Records are also partially played in outer, middle, and inner tracks, on both sides to detect any hidden surface noise or damage. This helps to insure Audio Quality is aligned with Visual Observations. Note: (Records must be played entirely to be "Play Graded", that is not the same as Play Tested)
Records with Questionable Damage or Wear (scratches, scuffs, slight warp, oddities... are played over those areas to insure they do not affect Audio Performance.

Visual Grading Explanation:
MINT (M) Record and Cover: Looks New, has never been played or looks that way. Rarely, if ever, are open records rated Mint.
NEAR MINT (NM) Record and Cover: look like they just came from a record store. No flaws that can be seen. Only about 4% of Records over 50 years Old are Truly NM.
EXCELLENT (EX )
Record: Looks shinny, except for a couple scuffs or hairline scratches it looks NM. There is no wear or damage that reduces Audio Quality.
Cover: Nearly perfect, maybe a couple scuffs on corners or sides, but nothing too obvious.
Very Good Plus (VG+)
Record: Still shiny with several slight scuffs and/or light scratches, but not excessive. Slight warp that doesn't affect playing or sound is ok. No loud clicks/pops, and no skips. A few light crackles could be present in low music passages or between tracks, but do not overpower the audio quality.
Cover: May have slight wear on sides and corners, a very small seam split, or one taped up, some miner cover damage, or a very faint record ring. Some stupid wrote their name, address... on covers or record label. Overall, looks in Very Nice condition.
Very Good (VG)
Record: More pronounced surface scratches and scuffs than VG+. usually less shinny, possible light crackles in low music passages or between tracks, not overpowering. Could have a few light clicks or a pops from a scratch, no more than a few, but they shouldn't overpower the music. A slight warp could be present but shouldn't affect play or audio performance. No skips.
Cover: Front, back and middle covers may have some wear or damage, nothing extensive. More pronounced ring wear, fading, stains, writing, seam splits or tape could be present. More wear on sides and corners is possible. Overall, album sleeves are in good shape and functional.
Good Plus (G+)
Everything is worse than VG.
Record: You wont want to Play!
Cover: You can live with.
