New York Nights is the sweeter, richer one. It starts floral with jasmine and gardenia, then gets warmer with patchouli and sandalwood, and dries down into coffee and caramel. So think sweet, creamy, slightly sexy, warm nighttime perfume with a gourmand edge. Bond No. 9 describes it as unisex with a feminine lean.
Central Park West is much more floral, green and elegant. It has narcissus, ylang-ylang and black pepper, followed by gardenia, jasmine, linden and orris, with musk, white oak and vetiver underneath. It should smell more like a lush upscale white-floral perfume with a fresh green/woody background, not sugary.
Of the two, New York Nights is the one I’d expect you to like more if you prefer sweet, noticeable, luxurious scents. Central Park West is more classic floral and sophisticated.
