Brazil 500 Cruzeiros (1990) – Overstamp Issue
Catalog A220E – Series 3111
Plano Collor Currency Reform
This note belongs to the scarce Series 3111 batch, cataloged separately as A220E in Brazilian references.
Issued during the 1990 monetary reform, this piece was originally printed as 500 Cruzados Novos and later officially overstamped “500 CRUZEIROS.”
Series 3111 is specifically listed in catalogs as a distinct variety and carries a significant premium compared to standard overstamped issues.
Condition: Uncirculated (UNC). Crisp paper, sharp corners, and a strong and well-centered overstamp.
A desirable inflation-era transitional Brazilian banknote.
