My name is Richard T. Briskin and I was born March 23rd 1958 to my father Theodore S. Briskin an entrepreneur and my mother an actress in Hollywood. I grew up in Beverly Hills, CA and went to Beverly Hills High School from 1972 and graduated in 1976. When I was 11 years old my father wanted me to study martial arts. My father knowing many important people asked his friend \"Little Joe Torenuevo\" hairstylist and barber to the stars if he knew a martial arts instructor. Little Joe introduced my father to a struggling actor and martial arts instructor \"Bruce Lee\" if he would teach the family self defense. Bruce Lee used to come to our house in Beverly Hills and taught my sister, my mother and father and myself Kung Fu every Thursday.
As time went on my sister, mother and father dropped out however I continued and always looked forward to Thursday evening when Bruce Lee would come and instruct me in martial arts.
He was married to Linda Emery at the time and lived in Hollywood, CA. He had an acting part in \"The Green Hornet\" and played Kato the chauffeur and martial arts expert.
During my time training with him he gave me a signed picture of him as Kato and another signed picture of him along with an 8x10 poster of him. I also took a picture of him in our living room. One Thursday he didnt show up and I called his wife who informed me he had to goto Hong Kong to film Enter the Dragon and would not be giving instruction anymore. I was so upset I threw darts at the pictures and thus the minor damage on several of the pictures.
That is the story and my provenance.
