If the connector behind your factory radio is the blue and white connector shown in the product image, you need to check the main radio power connector in the trunk before ordering.
If the trunk connector is:
- Compatible 17-pin without the four empty positions → E46X7A compatible + A0590 required
- 40-pin connector → E46X7A compatible + A0590 required
- 17-pin with the four empty positions shown in Picture 1 → Not compatible
The Eonon A0590 extension harness is sold separately.
The blue and white dashboard connector therefore does not by itself confirm compatibility — the trunk power connector must also be checked.
A/C Control Panel Installation
Depending on your original dashboard layout, the factory air-conditioning control panel may need to be removed from its original position and reinstalled below the new stereo.
This is part of the installation layout for applicable E46 dashboards.

5. If you see the blue and white connector behind the dashboard, check the main power connector in the trunk. A compatible trunk-mounted 17-pin / 40-pin setup requires the separately sold A0590 extension harness.
6. Check whether your A/C control panel needs to be relocated below the new stereo.
