Poet Carl Sandburg, writing to a Mr. Kirkland on letterhead (halfsheet) from Connemara Farm, Flat Rock, NC, September 23, 1954. Typed andsigned. I cannot identify the addressee with confidence; Sandburg refers, inhighly complimentary fashion, to a “song session” he attended. This is an opportunity for old school, gumshoe scholarship!
At some point the sheet was folded in thirds.
