An original Civil War Union Army Clothing Account sheet for issues to Private Aaron Thatcher, B Company, 51st Pennsylvania Veteran Volunteers, \"enlisted at Easton\", for Oct 1863 to Jan 1864 with a inal note that he was \"Wounded and Missing at the Battle of the Wilderness\". The Muster Roll for the 51st Pennsylvania, G Company lists him as killed May 6 at the Battle of the Wilderness and the History of the 51st Pennsylvania Volunteers also lists Private Thatcher as with the 51st when he was killed in action May 6, 1864 at the Battle of the Wilderness.The reverse side accounts for issues to Pvt Henry Thompson also of B Company, 51st PVI. 1p 9 x 9\" ptd/ink.
