The COMP Cams 11-573-5 is a Nostalgia Plus solid flat tappet camshaft for Chevrolet Mark IV Big Block V8 engines displacing 396–454 cubic inches (1965–1996). Inspired by the legendary ZL-1 race camshaft that powered Chevrolet\'s all-aluminum big block racers of the late 1960s, this Nostalgia Plus version uses modern lobe profile engineering to improve on the original — delivering better throttle response and increased torque while maintaining the aggressive lopey idle and musclecar soundtrack the ZL-1 cam is famous for.

With 262°/272° duration at .050 in. lift, .581/.622 in. valve lift, and a 110° lobe separation angle, this solid flat tappet cam is engineered for high-compression builds (10:1+) running in the 3,500–7,000 RPM range. It requires a 3,500+ RPM stall converter, numerically higher axle gears, and upgraded valve springs — stock springs are inadequate for this lift specification. Valve lash is set at .012 in. on both intake and exhaust.
