Cartier Tank Palissandre de Rio / Wood Vintage – Extremely RareA rare and captivating Cartier Tank Palissandre de Rio, one of the most distinctive models produced by Cartier in the 1970s, characterized by the unusual combination of gold finishes and natural wood.This example features the characteristic wooden dial, with the Cartier signature and applied Roman numerals XII, III, VI, and IX, gold hands, and the unmistakable dark wood accents on the sides of the case.The Palissandre de Rio model was produced for a very brief period, around 1975–1976. According to various specialist sources, total production is estimated at approximately 3,000 pieces, a fact that makes this particular version of the Tank extremely difficult to find on the market.The watch retains a beautiful patina consistent with its approximately 50 years of age. The Cartier signature on the case back is clearly visible in person, although it appears less so in photographs.Watch is missing the crown stone.
