Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Vase Birds Flowers Yongzheng Mark 雍正年製 19.5cm For Sale

Fine Chinese Famille Rose (粉彩) Porcelain Vase – Birds & Blossoms – Yongzheng Mark – 19.5 cmAn attractive and finely decorated Chinese famille rose (粉彩) porcelain vase featuring an elegant bird-and-flower composition, classical Chinese calligraphy and a four-character Yongzheng reign mark (雍正年製) to the base.The vase measures approximately 19.5 cm in height and is in excellent, undamaged condition.Quality of the PaintingA particularly appealing feature of this vase is the quality and detail of its enamel painting.The birds are individually rendered with finely delineated wing feathers, delicate black and grey brushwork, and carefully shaded plumage. Their movement is convincingly captured within a flowing composition of flowering branches.The blossoms display graduated pink enamels, with darker shading defining individual petals. The foliage is painted in contrasting shades of turquoise and green, with fine details to the leaves and branches.The decoration has a noticeably raised enamel surface, consistent with traditional overglaze famille rose techniques.The painting is accomplished and carefully executed, with a level of individual brushwork and tonal variation that distinguishes it from basic transfer-printed decorative porcelain.The overall composition is harmonious, balancing detailed naturalistic painting with traditional Chinese ornamental borders.Decorative FeaturesThe vase features:* Two stylised auspicious bats (雙蝠) decorating the raspberry-pink neck, symbolising blessings and good fortune.
* A decorative blue-and-orange shoulder border.
* A gilt-edged mouth.
* Detailed birds amongst flowering branches and rocks.
* A classical Chinese poetic inscription.
* Three purple-red decorative seals.
* A four-character Yongzheng reign mark in raised blue enamel, enclosed within a double-square border.Chinese InscriptionThe vase bears the poetic poetic translation:Like jade scissors, swallows pass through the flowers;
In rainbow robes, they return beneath the moon.This inscription is associated with historical Qing imperial bird-and-flower porcelain designs, including examples held by the National Palace Museum, Taipei.The three purple seals have been identified as 佳麗、旭、映.Yongzheng Reign MarkThe underside bears a four-character mark:雍正年製 — Made during the Yongzheng reign (1723–1735).Both the blue characters and surrounding double-square border are slightly raised above the glaze, suggesting overglaze enamel application.The mark is described for identification purposes only and is not a guarantee of Yongzheng-period manufacture.The vase has not been professionally authenticated or conclusively dated.Condition,Excellent condition throughout.
