DESCRIPTION
A Chinese blue and white porcelain sleeve vase produced in the late Qing dynasty in revival Kangxi style. The cylindrical form is decorated with shaped cartouches containing birds perched among flowering branches. Dense lotus scroll decoration fills the ground, framed by geometric diaper borders at the rim. The vase displays strong cobalt blue tones with finely painted ornamental detail throughout. The base bears an underglaze blue four character Kangxi mark.

Late Qing revival porcelains drawing inspiration from Kangxi period wares became highly popular during the 19th century.
