Republican period (Republic of China, 1920–1940s) export porcelain figurine.**This is a rare raised-hands (reaching heaven) Budai / Happy Buddha. Hand painted famille rose enamel with gilt details, decorated with Shou longevity symbols on the robe.**Condition: Perfect, no chips, cracks or repairs. Faint natural wear to gilding consistent with age.**
