ConditionIn pristine condition, with publisher\'s gatefold creases only visible in raking light.Floated in archival metal frame with UV filtering plexiglassThis Christopher Wool color lithograph was published exclusively in select issues of November 2018 W Magazine, in collaboration with storied print publisher Universal Limited Art Editions and Art Adviser Sharon Coplan Hurowitz. The print’s background is a metal-plate etching, on top of which Christopher Wool created a ribbed, red-and-black monotype; a photograph of the original was ­captured and later altered in photoshop. It is the largest Artist print run ever in ULAE\'s history, although only selective November 2018 W Magazine contained this stunning and highly desirable Christopher Wool color lithograph, and many were most likely not retained. A similar Christopher Wool Untitled (10A), 2014 monotype, also published by ULAE, fetched $43,760 at Sotheby\'s NY, March 2, 2018; view the lot sold above.This Christopher Wool is signed in the stone NOT by hand; however, it is so successfully created, it actually looks like a pencil signature. In other words, highly effective. Published at ULAE, this Christopher Wool is so carefully created, it matches the quality of signed and numbered Christopher Wool lithographs published at ULAE; it is a gem. Of course ULAE is famous for many of the finest and most important 20th Century prints by Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg and dozens more.
