An authentic 19th-century antique copper pot/boiler, highly suited today as a rustic fireplace log bin, kindling scuttle, or statement planter.
This piece showcases exceptional old-world craftsmanship, including prominent interlocking cramp/dovetail seams secured with visible brass solder, a wire-rolled top rim, and heavy riveted side handles.
The interior retains its classic silvery-grey tin/zinc lining, while the underside features a heavy reinforced central base plate showing authentic charring and verdigris oxidation from historic open-hearth use.
Conditions: Good antique condition with a richly layered, warm oxidized copper patina.
Features multiple prominent dents, undulations, and slight misshaping along the rim and side walls from a century of genuine household utility. Tight seams and structurally sound. Unmarked.
