Crane Bait Handcrafted Balsa Wood Musky Fishing Lure – New Old Stock / Sealed
Original Crane Bait handcrafted balsa wood fishing lure, designed and produced by legendary West Virginia lure maker Bill Crane. Crane Baits were produced by Bill and Sharon Crane, with Bill crafting the lure bodies and Sharon hand-painting the baits.
Bill Crane began producing his own lures in the mid-1970s, and Crane Baits developed a strong following among serious musky anglers for their lightweight balsa construction, distinctive action and hand-crafted quality. Production remained relatively small compared with mass-produced fishing lures, making original examples desirable to both anglers and collectors.
This example remains unused in its original Crane Bait packaging. The original card identifies it as a hand crafted balsa wood lure and is marked Designed and Produced By Bill Crane – Pullman, West Virginia.
