This is a mail-in DME cloning and data recovery service for select BMW Bosch ME9.2 EK928_4, EK928_5, and EK928_7 engine computers.
This service is specifically intended for an original DME that is damaged, flooded, water-damaged, or no longer communicating and cannot be cloned using normal programming methods.
We attempt to recover the necessary vehicle-specific data directly from your damaged original DME and transfer it into a same-part-number replacement DME that you provide.
When recovery is successful, the replacement DME is prepared as a plug-and-play replacement for your original vehicle.
YOU MUST SEND BOTH THE ORIGINAL AND REPLACEMENT DME.
THE REPLACEMENT DME MUST HAVE THE SAME PART NUMBER AS THE ORIGINAL.
A REPLACEMENT DME IS NOT INCLUDED.
WHAT IS THIS SERVICE FOR?
This service is intended for BMW ME9.2 DMEs where the original module has failed due to problems such as:

REPLACEMENT DME REQUIREMENTS
You must supply a replacement DME.
The replacement DME must have the exact same part number as your original DME.
Do not purchase a replacement based only on the vehicle, model year, engine, or physical appearance.
Use the part number printed on your original DME to locate a matching replacement.
IMPORTANT — DAMAGED ORIGINAL DME REQUIRED
You must send your original DME.
This service works by recovering the necessary vehicle-specific information from your original module and transferring it into the replacement.
If your original DME still communicates and can be read normally, please use our standard BMW ME9.2 cloning service instead.
WATER-DAMAGED / NO-COMMUNICATION DME RECOVERY
No-communication recovery may require opening and disassembling the original DME, component removal, or other invasive recovery work.
Because every damaged DME is different, successful data recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Severe corrosion, fire damage, electrical damage, missing components, damaged circuit boards, or previous repair attempts may prevent recovery.

After purchase, ship both modules to us. Once the recovery and cloning service is completed, your modules will be returned to you.
