DESCRIPTION:This listing is for a single healthy and mature dragon fruit cutting between 12 to 16 inches long. All plants are shipped based on current availability and may not look exactly like the picture shown and since they are living plants and are constantly growing and changing.

PLANT CARE INSTRUCTIONS:Gradual Sun Exposure: All our dragon fruit plants have been growing under 30% shade cloth. When your plant arrives, allow it to acclimate to its new environment by placing it in a shaded area, slowly increase sun expose over a period of at least 3-4 weeks (or longer depending on your climate). Direct sun too soon can cause sunburn. Once acclimated, dragon fruit plants love 6-8 hours of sunlight per day. In very hot climates, use partial shade during peak afternoon hours helps prevent scorching. Dragon fruit prefers warm, tropical climates with temperature between 65-85 Fahrenheit. Protect your plant if temperature drop below 40 Fahrenheit. you can bring potted plants indoors or cover outdoor plant with frost cloth.
Soil & Potting: Use well-draining, sandy cactus mix soil or create your own with equal parts sand, potting soil and perlite. Dragon fruit grows well in containers or directly in the ground. As a climbing cactus, dragon fruit will need support (like a trellis) as it matures.
Watering: Water deeply but infrequently. Let the soil dry completely between watering. Reduce watering during the winter to avoid root rots, as the plant’s growth slows down.
Fertilizing: Fertilized 4-6 weeks during the growing season (Springs and Summer) to encourage healthy growth. Hold off on fertilizing during the winter when the plant is dormant. Typical fertilizer used, chicken manure, compost, or fish fertilizer.
