A very special piece of Ducati history connected directly to the launch of the legendary Ducati MH900e (Mike Hailwood Evoluzione).
This original Ducati publication, “What Happens When You Sell 2000 Bikes on the Internet…”, documents one of the most unusual motorcycle launches ever undertaken — Ducati’s groundbreaking online sale of the limited-production MH900e.
This particular copy has wonderful provenance: I received it directly from Ducati in Rome when I traveled there to collect my own MH900e in 2000. It has remained carefully preserved in my collection ever since.
The book contains approximately 84 full-color pages featuring:
* Original Pierre Terblanche design sketches
* MH900e development artwork and CAD imagery
* The story behind the MH900e and its connection to Mike “The Bike” Hailwood
* Ducati’s revolutionary Internet launch
* Factory photography and technical specifications
* Contemporary commentary surrounding the project
* Beautiful period Ducati graphic design throughout
Ducati Part No. 91740081A
This was an official Ducati publication rather than an ordinary mass-market motorcycle book. Specialist Ducati bibliographic references place it within Ducati’s limited-distribution Official Books series.
CONDITION
Mint / exceptionally well-preserved collector condition.
Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. The book shown is the actual book you will receive.
For the serious Ducati, MH900e, Pierre Terblanche or Mike Hailwood collector, this is an increasingly difficult piece of period Ducati material to find — particularly with a direct connection to an original MH900e owner and the motorcycle’s 2000 launch period.
From my personal Ducati collection.
Will be packed carefully for shipping to protect its condition.
No returns. Please review all photographs and ask any questions before purchasing.
