This is a vintage wall thermometer built into a shield shaped faux leather panel with black stitched edges and a polished brass hanging loop at the top. A cast brass federal eagle emblem sits above the dial, wings spread, holding an olive branch and arrows, the same eagle motif used on American patriotic and colonial style decor from the mid 1900s. The round thermometer face reads in Fahrenheit from negative 20 to 120 degrees, set in a brass rim below the eagle. A classic piece for colonial, Americana, or lodge style wall decor.
Measures approximately 7 3/4 inches tall and 5 inches wide.
