The Alessi 9094 press coffee maker (3-cup capacity) is a masterpiece designed by architect Aldo Rossi.
I received this about 30 years ago, and it appears to be an early model from around the early 1990s.
The filter structure (outer spring and mesh structure) and the finishing details reflect the characteristics of that era.
The glass features the word "FRANCE," which is not found on current models, and is one of the points that indicates the specifications of the time. Also, based on the instruction manual, it appears to be a unit imported by Italian Trading Co.
Compared to current and relatively newer models, there are differences in the details of construction and finish, and the fact that it has specifications closer to the original model is one of its attractions.
I used it a few times 30 years ago and then stored it for a long time. There are some scratches and scuffs, but it is still in working order.
Comes with box and instruction manual. The box shows signs of age-related wear, but will be used for shipping.
Currently, it's in limited supply, and although the current model sells for $350, it's apparently difficult to obtain.
