Overall Good. Sound and square, with a firm text block. The dark leather boards exhibit extensive rubbing and surface wear, particularly along the edges and corners, while the richly gilt-decorated spine remains attractive despite general wear. The gilt page edges show rubbing and scattered marks. Both endpaper hinges have been reinforced with tape. A Baxter’s Book Store stamp appears on the front endpapers, and a modern handwritten note appears on the rear endpaper. The flyleaf bears a handwritten presentation inscription. The text body is clean and unmarked. No dust jacket.
