Presenting this delightful, large French Baroque carved giltwood plaque with beautiful scrollwork, 18th or possibly late 17th century. This was likely an interior architectural ornament of a grand building/chateau or an ecclesiastical piece like for an altar. It is quite an intricate example done by a skilled craftsman! The panel is in good condition overall with age related wear and a lovely patina! There is gilt loss at surface, some scattered losses, bumps, etc. Please see all photos for condition and measurements. A very versatile decorative piece to add to your home!
