Summary

Halls of fame, once limited primarily to sports, are growing rapidly as groups build shrines to honor their past, highlight their heroes, and display their artifacts and memorabilia. This specialized reference guide details more than 450 of them in more than 45 states and 15 countries. In addition to iconic installations like Cooperstown or Cleveland\'s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this directory details obscure and hard-to-find institutions like the American Furniture Hall of Fame, Burlesque Hall of Fame, and the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame. This unique copy is hand-signed and inscribed by the author, Dave Blevins, on the half-title page: \"CHARLIE - THANKS FOR THE INVITE\". An incredibly scarce resource for historians, curators, and collectors alike.
