Vintage Hamilton Hastings 17-Jewel Art Deco Men’s Wristwatch
Beautiful early Hamilton Hastings featuring a 14K gold-filled square/cushion case, manual-wind 17-jewel Hamilton movement, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, large Art Deco Arabic numerals and an attractive aged brown/tobacco dial.
The Hastings dates to Hamilton’s early Art Deco wristwatch period. References document the model beginning around 1928, with 17-jewel manual-wind and 14K gold-filled case options.
This example has excellent vintage character. The dial shows substantial original-looking age and patina, while the case shows normal wear consistent with a watch approaching a century old. It is currently fitted with a later black leather strap with contrasting stitching.
