The Hermès Oasis is one of the house’s most quietly iconic silhouettes — a single piece of calfskin cut into the H motif, set on a low wood block heel. First introduced in the 1990s, it has remained in continuous production as a testament to Hermès’s conviction that the simplest forms endure longest. This pair is in violet, a saturated jewel tone rendered in smooth calfskin with tonal topstitching throughout.
Hermès has dressed feet since 1938, when the house first expanded beyond saddlery into footwear. Every sandal is made in Italy using the same exacting standards applied to their leather goods — hand-finished edges, vegetable-tanned insoles, and construction built to outlast trends.
Pre-owned in fair to poor condition. The violet calfskin upper retains its structure but shows significant wear throughout. The H strap and vamp have notable color loss and rubbing, with the original violet giving way to lighter patches and pink undertone across multiple areas. The footbed leather is heavily discolored from use. The block heel covering has surface gouging and visible seam separation between the upper and lower heel sections. Both outsoles are substantially worn — cork is fully exposed at the heel caps and significantly across the forefoot. Stitching remains intact. Sold as-is; priced to reflect condition.
