Robust foundations teeming with clarity

Tonewoods are essential to defining your instrument’s aural aperture, and for the AR Standard AR320, Ibanez’s luthiers elected a flexible yet focused trifecta. The okoume body serves as the sonic cornerstone of this 6-string, revered for its mahogany-like balance and warmth, with an added touch of brightness on the top end. Appropriately, the set neck is crafted from three pieces of sonorous maple, enhancing the properties of the okoume body and infusing your sound with clarity and natural note separation. A jatoba fretboard completes the tonewood trio, blending the transparency of maple with the crystalline character and responsiveness of rosewood, alongside resounding projection, to amplify every lick, lead, riff, and solo with unwavering distinction.

Premium circuitry built by Ibanez and optimized for all

With Ibanez at the helm of the AR Standard AR320’s circuitry suite, no tone stone goes unturned. It all starts with dual Super 58 humbuckers, alnico-equipped pickups poised for serious power and presence. This set is lauded for its vintage-inspired character and modern output. They\'re capable of producing the heat to fuel contemporary, heavy playing styles, yet they\'re able to deliver the headroom, dynamic range, and reactivity that undergirds classic rock tones. A 3-way switch joins per-pickup Volume and Tone controls, which afford a wealth of on-tap sonic contouring, but Ibanez didn’t stop there. In addition to these tone-crafting tools, a pair of Tri-sound switches allows you to instantly toggle between series, parallel, and coil tap operation.

Optimized for fluid, seamless performance

When it comes to tour-grade gear, reliability is everything, and Ibanez spared no effort in this department when crafting the AR Standard AR320. A set-neck provides increased sustain capabilities, while the 3-piece neck construction delivers essential onstage support. In fact, the increased dimensional stability of this construction method drastically increases the guitar’s structural resilience, mitigating risks of twisting or warping with far greater proficiency than a 1-piece neck. A 24.75-inch scale complements the fretboard’s 12-inch radius, and an extra-speedy AR neck profile, along with the guitar’s distinctive double-cut design, guarantees confident playability and unfettered accessibility to all 22 frets. What’s more, the Gibraltar Quik Change tailpiece makes string swapping a breeze, without sacrificing sustain or tuning security, meaning that you’re taking the stage with ample peace of mind in tow every time.
