Super Wizard HP Neck Tuned for Speed
The Super Wizard HP neck is shaped with technical players in mind, offering a thin, fast profile that makes quick position shifts and extended runs feel effortless. Its 5-piece maple and walnut construction adds stability without sacrificing feel, and the Prestige fret edge treatment keeps the neck comfortable even during long, demanding sessions. The result is a neck that stays responsive and predictable under pressure.
Rosewood Fingerboard With Jumbo Frets
The bound rosewood fingerboard delivers a focused midrange that pairs well with higher-gain tones, helping notes stay defined without sounding harsh. 24 jumbo frets make bends, vibrato, and single-note lines feel easy and fluid, especially at faster tempos. The smooth fretwork reinforces the RG’s reputation as a tool built for precision playing.
DiMarzio Air Norton and The Tone Zone Pairing
A DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck position provides warmth and clarity for fluid leads and clean passages, while The Tone Zone at the bridge brings power, low-end punch, and sustain for heavier styles. Together, they create a versatile setup with enough output to drive modern amps while still responding clearly to picking dynamics. The 5-way selector makes switching between voices quick and intuitive.
Gibraltar Standard III Bridge and Locking Hardware
The Gibraltar Standard III bridge features a redesigned baseplate and saddles that improve playing comfort while ensuring efficient string vibration transfer. Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machines help maintain tuning stability and make string changes faster, keeping the guitar reliable for both live performance and studio work. Black hardware completes the stripped-down, performance-focused look.
A Prestige RG Built for Demanding Players
The RG Prestige line exists for guitarists who expect their instrument to keep up with intense playing and consistent use. Supplied with an Ibanez hardshell case, the RGR662AHBF is well suited for metal, progressive, and hard rock styles where speed, clarity, and control are essential. It’s a no-compromise RG designed to perform at a high level, night after night.
