Japanese Meiji Period (1868–1912) rare bell-shaped Satsuma vase with exceptionally fine decoration and superb workmanship.
The vase is richly decorated with numerous figures, gates, houses, fences, floral motifs, flying cranes, and a variety of intricate symbolic designs. Seven decorative panels surround the body, each featuring different finely painted scenes and ornamental details.
Additional floral and geometric ornamentation is enhanced with extensive gold decoration and delicate patterned bands.
