J Van Hoot Dutch Painting Still Life Fruit Oil On Board 9.5\" x 8.5\" Framed For Sale

Oil on board painting by Dutch artist J Van Hoot. Lived 1900-1963, Van Hoot was known for his miniature still lifes often in elaborate frames. This one does not disappoint. This is a painting of fruit, oil on board, in a moody dark setting. Artist signature in bottom right corner. Painted surface is in pristine condition. Wooden frame is also in excellent condition with minor gold loss due to age. The outer frame 1.5\", is stylized with gold leaf, then a linen matt of 5/8\" then additionally gold frame around the actual art piece. Visible art is 3.5\" x approximately 4.5\". My estimate of period painted is 1930s-50s.
