Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible Vintage Japanese Buddhist Temple-Style Folk Art Lantern dating to the mid-20th century (Showa Era). Hand-crafted with a heavy, rustic wood block base, wire framing, and a protective mesh top, this lantern features fluid calligraphic kanji painted onto a sheer fabric sleeve. The inner base of the lantern shows a magical dragons head appearing as a stylized head of a powerful good luck and protection all watchful dragon that is part of a spiritual wake up of carrying the light the message of the ascension.RARE SACRED PROVENANCE & TEMPLE SEALS: The underside of the heavy wooden base retains its authentic, original paper temple charter and official markings: - Saikoku Stamp (西國): The orange-bordered rectangular woodblock stamp marks this lantern as an official sacred piece from the historic Saikoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage Route across Western Japan.
- Hand-Inscribed Calligraphy: Features handwritten ink calligraphy over the charter indicating its temple stop connection.
- Official Red Wax Seal: Features an intact, stamped red wax seal impression directly on the wood, a rare mark of a monastic blessing or authentication.
