ITEM: Paperback, as shownCONDITION:Very minimal wear on cover spread otherwise binding and pages(unmarked) are in great condition (please inspect all photos)
SHIPPING DETAILS: Shipping will be calculated per weight and via USPS media mail- in a box for protection.
MEDIA MAIL: Media mail shipping is provided for books or other qualified media in order to lower your overall cost. I typically ship within a day or two of days of payment; however, total transit time may vary greatly with media mail. I will update the listing when I ship so you will know your item is on its way. Most of the time media mail is reasonably fast, sometimes amazingly so. That said, at times it can mysteriously take 10-12 days once I mail. There is no rhyme or reason- at least I can\'t decipher the algorithm. If this happens, please understand it is out of my control. You can upgrade to priority mail if you need it fast.
BOXES: A note on shipping in a box. I have received too many books for my personal collection that arrive in a padded (or unpadded) envelope and are subject to some kind of damage in transit. Unless otherwise noted, I ship in a box to protect your purchase. The slight extra cost on shipping is worth it for both of us.
BUY IT NOW OR BEST OFFER: Please, if you buy it now or get an accepted best offer- go ahead and complete the transaction so we can close out the sale and get your item on its way to you. Thanks!
PROBLEM?: I try to make listings accurate and your purchase fast and reliable. That said, if I have made a mistake or there is an issue, just contact me. I will make it right.Warm Regards,Samuel of Hillock
Joseph Priestly and English Unitarianism in America J. D. Bowers
►ITEM: Paperback, as shown in pictures.► ABOUT:Many have argued that American Unitarianism originated solely from within Congregationalism and developed independent of outside influences. William Ellery Channing\'s “Unitarian Christianity” sermon in 1819 was a key moment in the history of the denomination, as Channing consciously sought to define the parameters of the faith and eliminate all vestiges of competing influences. Yet the American Unitarian tradition was far more complex than its nineteenth-century adherents were willing to admit. In Joseph Priestley and English Unitarianism in America, J. D. Bowers reexamines its origins, course, and development and subsequently reveals the extent to which Joseph Priestley\'s ideas concerning Congregational polity were recognized and established within the United States.
