Antique Royal Worcester porcelain tureen LID ONLY featuring an attractive brown ivy/leaf pattern on a white ground with a distinctive sculptural brown elephant-form handle.
The underside bears Royal Worcester factory markings, including what appears to be an “S” mark. Based on Royal Worcester dating references, this marking may indicate an 1881 production date. However, the exact date, age, pattern, and interpretation of the markings have not been independently authenticated and are not warranted. This is a wonderful replacement piece for someone who owns the matching Royal Worcester Brown Ivy covered tureen but is missing or has damaged the original lid. It would also make an attractive standalone display piece for a Royal Worcester or antique English porcelain collection.
