1861 Trading Post LLC – Store Policies
Thank you for shopping!
📍Fun Tip📍
👀 Please read our store guidelines before buying:
•🌎 Sourcing: Items are second-hand and collected from all over the country by our owner Gigi (She\'s headed to exciting cities soon for amazing finds!)—storage units, yard sales, estate clearouts, flea markets, sales, consignment shops, and thrift shops is where we find our inventory. If it\'s headed to the landfill, we want to step in!
•🧽 Laundering Care: To do our best for you, 1861 Trading Post LLC takes all pre-owned clothing to a local laundromat to attempt to lift any major storage odors or stains before listing.
• 🎟️New With Tags (NWT): If an item is brand new with the original store tags, it is NOT washed to prevent damaging the authentic manufacturer tags.
• 🎩Dry Clean Only: If an item is dry clean only, 1861 Trading Post LLC will spray the item with an antibacterial clothing spray and a natural fabric freshener and store the item in a sealed bag for 24 hours. We do not dry clean. Please check the pictures of the tags for laundering instructions before buying.
•👟 Shoes: 1861 Trading Post LLC cleans shoes with basic soap and water. We do use oxy clean for tough stains and Lysol wipes for sandals and shoes where bare feet touch. We do not scrub bottoms of shoes.
•📸 Photo & Lighting Disclosure: We do not use professional studio lighting setups. Photos are taken under standard home lighting, wherever Gigi is at in the world, so the colors and textures you see in the pictures are completely raw and what you see is what you get. We will, without a question, send additional photos if needed!
•📦 Standard Packaging: We do not use specialty eco-friendly or sustainable packaging yet—the rebrand is coming!—items are packed securely in standard shipping materials to get your items to your door quickly. We use USPS. And their boxes.
•📫 Shipping: We have a standard 2 day shipping time from the time you order to the time the mailman collects it. We do not ship on the weekends and major federal holidays.
