This framed artwork is a coloured print or mezzotint by the British printmaker and artist William J. \"Will\" Henderson (ca. 1866–ca. 1926), created after an original 1838 watercolor titled The Road to the Mountains by the renowned English landscape master David Cox the Elder (1783–1859).
Will Henderson was highly celebrated during the late 19th and early 20th centuries for creating beautifully executed, signed artist-proof mezzotint engravings and color prints. He specialized in translating the works of old masters and famous British watercolorists (like David Cox and J.M.W. Turner) into finely detailed prints for publication
