Another item from my 97yo Great aunts estate. This is a truly gorgeous pendant, that up until recently I had no idea they even existed. It’s Butterfly wings, with an iridescent blue/purple chameleon effect, hanging on its original 1920’s - 1930’s Chain.. The pictures and even video just don’t do it justice. In person this piece is absolutely stunning, and will be sure to capture the eye of everyone ago sees it. The way the light bounces off it at different angles giving it a color changing effect is beautiful.
The pendant and chain are both in .925 sterling silver.
The pendant size is 2” x 1.35” (teardrop /egg shape) and the chain length is approx 19” end to end (9.5” loop)
Total weight is: 19.7 grams
It also includes the vintage Jewelry box it was found safely stored away in. I gave it a light cleaning with a Silver polishing cloth, but ultimately decided to leave the remaining tarnish/patina to highlight some of its details, and maintain its antique look and character.
