Premium Selvedge ConstructionThese are made from premium selvedge denim woven on traditional narrow-width shuttle looms. Selvedge (from “self-edge”) creates a tightly woven, finished edge that resists unraveling and fraying. When you cuff the hem, you get the signature contrast stripe (often red) running down the inside of the outseam, a classic detail that sets true selvedge apart from regular denim.
The denser weave and higher-quality construction give the jeans better durability and a more refined hand feel. Over time they develop natural character and fades rather than breaking down quickly.
