Description Up for sale an early and fine example stainless steel Longines Conquest ref# 9000 circa 1950s. Featuring a robust 35mm diameter case with wide bezel and heavy rounded lugs, and screw down case back with enamelled fish logo. With acrylic crystal, and featuring a lovely stylish two-tone silver satin dial with applied oversize fan shaped gold indexes and matching gold sword hands.
Powered by self winding Longines 19 AS self winding movement with sweep seconds with original beaded edge dome shaped Longines crown.
A great looking vintage model with a striking and dramatic dial. The Longines Conquest aka Lifeguard, All-Guard and herein designated as Automatic is a much underrated and overlooked model and certainly a rival to the Omega Seamasters and Constellations which this model shares similar design elements. While we love the no date Constellations, we are also big fans of the more robust and thicker design case and generally more rugged feel of this Conquest model. The pictures are quite bad, but the watch is absolutely jawdropping in the flesh.
