MAN FROM PLANET X Spaceman Resin Model Kit Rare Only 75 Made – Started No Paint For Sale

Very rare MAN FROM PLANET X resin model kit. This kit is an original and it has beenstarted but no paint. This 1992 garagekit was sculpted and produced by Elliott Swanson under the name “BrennschlussGroup”. Only 75 were produced. Two small teardrop shaped pieces that wouldattach to the bottom of the air tanks are missing. Besidesthat, all other parts of the kitare included. In addition, theinstructions and a color one page are included.Assembled, the figure measures 10 ¾” to the top of its head (notincluding helmet or base). The kit willbe well packed with the helmet halves protected. The photo of a completed model is forreference only.

The started kit is as follows:

1) For the body and the head: the mold parting lines and some imperfections have been filled with CA (and a little putty on the shoulders) andhave been sanded.

2) The neck has been shaped to fit the body. A 1/8” dowel is used for alignment in a holedrilled vertically though the middle of the neck and into the body.

3) The excess plastic, from vacuum forming, has been trimmed from around the helmethalves but the halves have not been shaped yet.The front helmet half has a very small scratch on it (see photo).

Suggestion on finishing the air tanks: remove the excessmaterial at the bottom of the tanks. Cutoff the ends of the bullet nosed white plastic tubes that are provided and gluethem to the tanks for a rounded shape on the tank bottoms. The tubes are virtually the same diameter asthe resin tanks. (The plastic tubes werenot part of the original kit but are included here for the builders convenience.)
