Michael Jackson’s legendary “Captain EO”—featuring rare footage—is now available as a special collector’s edition, including a complete, high-definition remastered version of the film, plus a DVD with behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-seen rough cuts, along with a CD compilation of soundtrack tracks! Produced in 1986, at the height of Michael’s popularity, “Captain EO” was a lavish space adventure film that brought together the top creators in the entertainment industry of the time, with George Lucas of “Star Wars” fame serving as executive producer and Francis Ford Coppola of “The Godfather” fame directing. Originally released as a limited-run 3D theatrical attraction and never released on home video afterward, this rare film—now regarded as a legendary Michael Jackson masterpiece—is included on this DVD in a newly edited, HD-remastered version. The original feature film, which differs from the theatrical release, has been restored from the original film negative (4:3) and is presented here in its unedited, complete form, along with custom-edited Japanese subtitles (with on/off option), all in the highest possible quality. Additionally, the set includes a widescreen (16:9) edit and a promotional edit featuring two insert songs. The extras section features a production history, a “rough cut” version including scenes not used in the main feature, and behind-the-scenes footage and TV commercials that were broadcast in the U.S. and Japan at the time. The CD features a newly edited version of the film’s soundtrack, compiling previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions of related tracks, and even instrumental pieces originally used in theaters. The latest edited CD & DVD Special Collector’s Edition of the legendary and rare film *Captain EO*, which can no longer be seen in theaters today!
