Extremely rare Metallica MTV Icon promotional collector’s box set from 2003 Metallica Charity event given to Avril Lavigne\'s Band for playing for free to benefit Metallicas Charity
This was produced in connection with MTV’s MTV Icon: Metallica special and was a promotional item, not a standard retail release. Everything is housed in the original heavy-duty patterned aluminum/metal case featuring the raised MTV ICON plaque.
This set is COMPLETE with all original components, including the Metallica CD/DVD collection and original accessories/components that came with the promotional set.
The metal case is in very good vintage condition overall with some light cosmetic wear/scratches consistent with age and storage. Please see photos for exact condition.
These sets are extremely difficult to find, especially complete, and rarely come up for sale. Great piece for a serious Metallica, MTV, music memorabilia, or promotional-item collector. Given to Avril Lavigne for playing at the charity concert. Can be documented.
