This is a new, original and one of a kind, 12X24” painting in a cool vintage frame by Todd Ehle. It’s Abstract Surrealism, my spontaneous style of painting. Nothing is pre-planned, I just let it develop as I go.
The painting is acrylic and acrylic gouache on canvas mounted to hardboard. I use a strong acrylic medium to bond the canvas the the wood. The medium has no acid or anything that could stain or damage the painting. It comes in a vintage, very cool frame which has a faint stamp of “Made in Japan,” most likely from the 1950s. The frame is 24x16.5x2.
A word about me: My father was a composer of “modern” classical music, and I was immersed in the mid-century genre. This painting represents the type of work I started doing in the early 80s.
