Vintage set of four retractable ball bearing casters in the original Sears, Roebuck and Co. box, Catalog No. 9-2819, made for pedestal-type tool stands. Each caster is stamped "Acme, Made in U.S.A." The original Allen wrench is included. The box says each caster adjusts individually to floor level and rolls freely in any direction, and its illustrated front panel shows a table saw on a pedestal stand.These likely date from the mid-century era, when Sears sold pedestal-type stands for its power tools. There is no barcode on the box.Condition: All four casters are present and all four balls roll freely in every direction. Three roll very smoothly. The fourth, which has visible patina on the ball, rolls freely but has slightly more resistance than the others.
The finish shows light wear. Some balls are bright, and others are dull with light surface spotting (see photos). The box has corner and edge wear, scuffing, and a torn end flap, but it is complete and presentable.Dimensions: Threaded mounting post is 1" long, and appears to be threaded to M12.
