The Story of Lucky Strike (1939 New York World’s Fair edition) by Roy C. Flannagan, paired with two original fair souvenirs: a French Pavilion Terrace-Bar cocktail napkin and a Fiberglas exhibit bookmark from the Glass Center pavilion. The hardcover book is embossed with the 1939 World’s Fair Trylon and Perisphere on the front board and is in excellent structural condition — tight binding, clean pages. The front free endpaper carries a period ink inscription: “Hermann Hartmann, World’s Fair, New York, May 21/39,” in the original owner’s hand. This piece has direct estate provenance from Hermann Hartmann, who went on to serve in WWII; a separate archive of his wartime correspondence documenting rank and duty stations will also be available. The French Pavilion napkin is in excellent condition with one minor crease, no tears or staining. The Fiberglas exhibit bookmark, produced on-site at the fair’s Glass Center, shows some discoloration and light fraying at one end, consistent with its age and woven-glass construction — please see photos for exact extent.
