A lovely first edition of this thick memoir by the famed late 19th/early 20th century actor and vaudevillian (1857-1919) best known for his portrayal of Fagin in a 1912 stage version of Charles Dickens\' \"Oliver Twist.\" This sharp copy bears a choice autograph addition: Neatly tipped on the blank margin beneath Goodwin\'s frontispiece head-and-shoulders portrait is an inscribed and signed (in bold pencil) lined 2\" X 4\" slip: \"Yours Truly / Nat Goodwin Jr.\" Early example -- Goodwin later usually signed himself \"Nat C. Goodwin.\" Interestingly, front flyleaf bears the circular blind-embossed ownership imprint of well-known television character actor Robert Casper (1924-2020). An exceptional, tight \'n\' bright copy of a title often found in sad, saggy condition and with interesting added signature.
