Access the trunk and locate the trim panel covering the lock assembly.
The trim panel is typically secured by screws and plastic clips. First, remove all visible screws, then carefully pry off the clips with a pry bar. The clips are fragile, so be sure to handle them gently.
Once the lock assembly is exposed, you\'ll see the wiring harness connector and mechanical pull cable (if present) connecting it to the vehicle.
Carefully disconnect the wiring harness connector and pull cable. It\'s recommended to take a photo for reference to facilitate reassembly later.
The lock block is typically secured to the vehicle body with 2–3 bolts.
Use a suitable socket or wrench to remove these bolts, then remove the old lock block.
Align the new lock assembly with the mounting location.
Reinstall it and tighten the mounting bolts. The recommended tightening torque is approximately 8 Nm.
Refer to the photos you took earlier to reconnect the wiring harness connector and mechanical pull cable.
Don\'t rush to reinstall the interior trim panel just yet! Connect the battery and test whether the new lock assembly is functioning properly.
Check that the power switch, key, interior buttons, and emergency pull handle can all release and lock the trunk normally.
Once you\'ve confirmed everything is working correctly, reinstall the interior trim panel exactly as it was before.
