New genuine valve stem for 1/2" and 3/4" Nibco (larger ver) Fix the drip For Sale

Got a Nibco stop valve that is dripping? Does it look crusty and corroded? Don't bother with tightening the packing nut, that won't last! Replace the whole thing!

In this sale, you will get 1x new Nibco valve stem assembly for 1/2" (newer) and 3/4" stop valves that use a 3/4" seat. The large version can be identified by the lack of indent in the globe area of the body as well as the large body nut (can be 21mm, 13/16", or 1-1/8"). Pipe size and handle color are not an indicator of which assembly you need, Measure the body nut with an open-ended wrench. If you have the smaller 15mm body nut, check out my other sale. The pictures of the blue handle are for reference as it can replace the old style too. The picture of the smaller body is shown for comparison. Again, this sale is for the larger assembly and will have a white handle.

Why replace the entire stem?

1) No need to cut the valve out and re-solder in a new one

2) If the stem is scoured and corroded, no amount of re-packing or re-tightening will stop the drip long-term

3) If your bibb seal is bad: Water can continue to flow or drip from the outlet even with the handle fully seated. A new stem fixes that.

4) A new smooth and easy to turn valve. Not a stiff or stuck old handle that won't turn

This stem is the updated version of the classic Nibco stop valve (or stop and waste valve if it has a bleeder). Sometimes called a globe valve or gate valve (incorrectly).It fits *some* hose bibb / spigots, but Nibco was inconsistent with fitment. It has also been reported that this fits Lee USA branded stop valves, but no guarantees. Measure your existing before ordering.

The older version has a 1-1/8" body hex nut and a 3/8" stem (blue handle in the pics).

The new one has a 13/16" hex nut body and a 9/32" (7mm) stem (white handle). They work interchangeably.
