100% original WWII US Army Air Forces Type B-3 sheepskin flight jacket, manufactured under the 1943 contract (Order No. 43-13609-AF). This is a genuine piece of aviation history from the height of the air war over Europe, featuring the later-war multi-piece back panel design.Condition Report (Selling strictly "As-Is" for restoration or parts):This jacket is in heavily worn, damaged condition and is being sold as a project piece for a restorer or collector.Sheepskin & Wool: The interior sheepskin wool is actually in remarkably good, thick condition with minimal shedding or bald spots.Leather Shell: The outer leather has aged and contains several deep tears/splits (please see macro close-up photos for exact scale and placement). The leather will need stabilization or backing patches if you intend to make it wearable.Zipper: The main zipper has been replaced during its lifetime with a functional YKK zipper.Label: The original cloth military specification label is present and completely readable, clearly showing the 1943 contract number.
